Moments you will be able to ask for

Long videos hide good short ones. Clip Maker will look for the kind of moment you ask for: a hook that grabs in the first line, a short story, a practical tip, a funny bit, a strong opinion, or a line that works as a quote. You will also pick the clip length band and the platform: YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or both. A Hindi podcast about saving money, for example, could become a set of tip clips, each with its own hook title on screen.

Framing and captions

• Face track keeps the speaker in the centre of a 9:16 frame as they move.
• Split screen puts two speakers top and bottom, for interviews and podcasts.
• Full with blur keeps the whole wide frame and fills the rest with a soft blur.

Caption styles will include word by word, bold Devanagari and minimal, or you can switch captions off. A hook title can sit on top of each clip. Square and 4:5 versions will be there for Instagram feeds.

Clip your own videos

Clip Maker will be for videos you made or hold the rights to. Re-uploading other people's long videos as Shorts with only captions added is reused content, which YouTube's rules do not reward, and it can get your channel into trouble. If a guest appears in your podcast, make sure they are fine with short clips being posted.

Until it opens
