Resize an image to 20KB, 50KB or 100KB

Online forms often ask for a photo under a set size. Pick your limit and save a JPG that fits.

Your photo stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

Use it now

This tool lowers JPG quality step by step until the photo fits. If it still does not fit, it makes the picture smaller. It keeps the highest quality that meets your limit, and shows the final size in KB and pixels.

How to resize a photo

  1. Choose your photo.
  2. Pick the size limit from your form.
  3. Check the result, then save the JPG.

Check your form's own rules

Each form sets its own limit, and often a pixel size and a background too. Read the notice for your form before you submit. This tool changes file size only. It does not check whether a photo meets a form's rules.

Why a small file can look soft

A 20KB file has little room for detail, so faces can look soft on a large photo. Crop close to the face first, then resize. A tighter crop keeps more detail at the same size.

Need an exact passport size?

The passport size photo maker sets Indian photo sizes for you.

Questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The photo is processed in your browser and stays on your device.

Can I resize a photo to exactly 20KB?

The tool gets you at or just under your limit. A form that asks for "under 20KB" will accept that size.

Which formats can I use?

Any photo your browser can open. The result is always a JPG.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no login and no daily limit.

Why did the tool make my picture smaller?

At very low limits, lowering quality alone is not enough, so the tool reduces the pixels too.
