Direction Mode is the Kritiverse panel that turns a plain idea into a directed shot. AI models respond well when a prompt says how the shot is framed, how the camera moves and where the light comes from, yet few of us write prompts that way. Direction Mode gives you those choices as buttons. Press Add Direction, pick from more than 1,300 options across shot size, lens, camera move, lighting, mood, colour grade and realism, and Kritiverse writes the full prompt for you. In a hurry? Auto Direction chooses a sensible set for your idea, shows you what it picked, and lets you undo any of it.
What you can direct
- Shot size: extreme close-up to extreme wide, including medium close-up and cowboy.
- Lens and camera: focal lengths, depth of field, camera height and angle.
- Camera move: push in, pull out, pan, tilt, handheld, crane, orbit.
- Lighting: golden hour, overcast, tube light at night, diya glow, rim light, practical lamps.
- Mood and colour: warm, cold, muted, high contrast, film grain, era looks such as a 1970s Hindi film poster style.
- Realism: skin texture, face and body details, natural features like freckles, stubble, grey hair or glasses. Every option starts as "Unspecified"; none is labelled ideal.
Options that change with the model
Each AI model understands different things. When you choose Veo 3, Kling, Seedance, Nano Banana or another model, Direction Mode hides options that model ignores and keeps the prompt within its length guide. You never end up with a setting the model cannot use. Model limits change often, so check the model's current limits in its own documentation for anything critical.
