Voice

Voice turns your script into a voice over in Hindi, Hinglish, English and other Indian languages. It also dubs videos, clones your own voice, and makes sound effects and music.

What it does

The Voice studio has five groups, each with its own tabs.

You only see the tabs your account can open. A tab with a lock is not in your plan yet. Finished audio is saved to your Library and can go straight to Kriti Cut or Storyboard.

When to use it

• You need a voice over for a Reel, an ad, a course or a story.
• You want a conversation between two or more people from one script.
• You want an existing video in another language, in the same speakers' voices.
• You want clean audio, a new voice on your recording, a sound effect or background music.

To make a face speak your words in a new video, use Video with Kriti Talk, or AI Avatar.

Step by step

Make a voice over

1. In the menu, open Core AI, then Voice. The Speak tab opens.
2. Under Voice, press a face to use that voice. Press More voices to open Pick a voice: Kritiverse picks, your voices, or the whole library.
3. Type or paste your script. Hindi, Hinglish, English or Urdu is fine. Press Add paragraph if some parts need another voice or style.
4. Optional: open Audio tags and press a cue such as Laugh or Long pause where the cursor is. Cues are performed, not read out.
5. Pick the language and a style: Natural, Ad energy, Calm, Storytelling, News or Whisper.
6. Optional: press Preview first line to hear a short sample for a small cost.
7. Read the cost line under the box, for example the number of characters, the time and the credits. Press Generate.
8. When the card is ready, play it, then download it or press Use in to send it to Kriti Cut or Storyboard.

Dub a video

1. Open Transform, then Dub.
2. Under Source, upload a video or audio you own, or pick one From Assets.
3. Choose up to 5 languages, a Dub type, and tick that you own the video and every speaker agreed.
4. Press the dub button. Each language shows Queued, Dubbing, Mixing, then Ready.

Clone your own voice

1. Open Voices, then Clone, then press Start a new voice.
2. Name the voice and tick the responsibility box.
3. Read the paragraphs aloud in a quiet room, or upload 60 to 120 seconds of clean audio.
4. Record the consent sentence live. Uploaded files are not accepted here.
5. Press the create button. Only you can use the voice.

Every option explained

Speak

Room and effects adds a place to the voice: phone call, old radio, bad line, street, cafe or office. Under Pronunciation, type a Word and how to Say it as, then Add. Your rules stay for next time.

The Music tab shows only when it is open for your account.

Who can use it

Free plan: included with limits. Pro plan: included.

Each tab has its own plan access. A tab your plan does not have shows a lock. Your plan also sets how many characters one script can have, how long a video you can dub, and how many clones you can keep. Some plans get one free try on Speak.

What it costs

Each button shows its price before you press it. These are the base prices.

Very short scripts pay a small minimum. Choosing 3 takes costs three times as much. A job that fails gives its credits back: "This did not work. N credits returned."

Tips

• Start with a few lines and Preview first line. Then make the whole script.
• Write Hinglish in Roman letters, as people say it. It is read as written.
• Use Pronunciation for brand names the voice says wrong. It remembers them.
• Use 3 takes for the lines that matter, then keep the best.
• Set a favourite voice as default for each language, once.
• Only clone a voice that is yours, or one you have clear permission to clone.

Common problems

"Write something for the voice to say." The script box is empty.

"Pick a voice first." Press a face under Voice, or More voices.

"This voice was removed by its owner. Pick another voice; nothing was charged." Choose another voice.

"Your free try is used. Upgrade to make more." Your plan had one free try. Upgrade or top up.

"Free tries are full for today. Try tomorrow." Free tries reset each day.

"This text cannot be voiced. Nothing was charged." Change the words.

"Too many requests. Wait a minute and try again." Slow down for a minute.

"This did not work, nothing was charged." A code follows the message. Quote it if you write to us.

"Our voice slots are full right now. Try again later." Try again in a while.

"Voice clones open 24 hours after you join." Wait a day after sign up.

"The microphone is blocked. Allow it in the browser and press Record again." Allow the microphone for this page.

"The voice in this recording does not match the sample. Only your own voice can be cloned." Record the consent sentence in your own voice.

"This video has no sound to dub." Pick a video with speech.
