Story Library

This page shows you how to keep your cartoons in Story Library. You start a story with a cast of your own characters, then add episodes and Shorts to it.

What it does

Story Library is the home of your cartoons. A story is a shelf for one cast. It can be a series with many episodes, one single story, a shelf of Shorts, a rhyme, an explainer or a brand mascot ad.

Every story keeps one art style, the style of its cast. The cast comes from Cartoon Character, so the faces stay the same in every episode. The page also has the quick box from Cartoon Maker at the top, for making a cartoon from one line.

When to use it

• You want many cartoons with the same characters.
• You want to find, rename, favourite or delete your old cartoons.
• You want to change the cast of a running series.

To make one cartoon from one line, use the box at the top, or Cartoon Maker. To design a character first, use Cartoon Character.

Step by step

Start a story

1. Open Story Library from the menu.
2. Press New story.
3. Pick the Kind of story: Series, Single story, Shorts, Rhyme, Explainer or Brand mascot.
4. Type the Story name, such as "The Lost Kite".
5. Under Cast, press the characters you want. Up to 6, all in one art style.
6. Pick the Language: Hindi or English.
7. Press Create story.

For Series, Shorts, Rhyme and Explainer the story page opens. For a Single story or a Brand mascot you go straight to Cartoon Maker.

Add a cartoon to a story

1. Open the story from its card.
2. Press New episode.
3. Cartoon Maker opens with this story. Write the script and go on from there.

Change the cast

1. Open the story and press Edit cast.
2. Press characters to add or remove them, then press Save.

A character that a scene already uses cannot be taken out. Change that scene first.

The Library page

A story card

The card shows the cast faces, the kind, the state (Cast locked) and the count of Shorts and episodes. A story is locked from the start, because every character in it is already trained.

Delete moves the story to Recently deleted with its episodes and finished videos. You can press Restore for 15 days.

A story page

Each cartoon card shows a state: Draft, Writing, Script ready, Making, Putting together, Ready, Stopped, Stuck or Video deleted. A play button opens the finished video. A stopped card says why, in one line.

What it costs

The Library itself uses no credits. Making a story and adding a cast are free. Anything paid shows its price before you press it, in Cartoon Maker and Cartoon Character.

Tips

• Make your characters first in Cartoon Character. A story needs at least one trained character.
• Keep one art style per story. Characters in another style are greyed out: "Another art style: one story keeps one style."
• Use Shorts for quick vertical gags and Series for a running show.
• Favourite the stories you use most, so they are easy to find.
• Use your own names. Famous cartoon shows and characters are not allowed.

Common problems

"A story needs a trained character. Make one, or let AI design a whole cast from one line." Press Make a character to design one, or Design a cast with AI. "Pick at least one character." Press at least one character under Cast before Create story. "Another art style: one story keeps one style." Pick characters from one art style only. "Nothing matches. Clear the search or pick another filter." Clear the search box or press All. "We make original cartoons only" The message names the word that cannot be used and suggests another. Write your own character and show name. "This was deleted more than 15 days ago and cannot come back." Restore must happen inside the 15 days. "Restore the series first: it brings this cartoon back too." Restore the story, then its cartoon.
