Public API

Public API Quick Start

Make your first image from your own code with the Kritiverse API: create a key, send one request, read the result.

This page takes you from no key to your first result with the Public API.

What it does

The API lets your own app, shop or script make images, videos, voice overs and UGC ads on your Kritiverse account. It uses the same tools as the website, at the same prices, with the same safety rules. Every result lands in your Library too.

Free plan: not included. Pro plan: included.

When to use it

  • You want to make pictures for every product in your shop from your own system.
  • You run an agency and want results to arrive in your own workflow.
  • You want a job to start when something happens in another app.

For one off work, the website is quicker.

Step by step

  1. Open My account, then the API tab.
  2. Press Create key. Give it a name, and tick only what this key needs.
  3. Confirm with your sign in check. Your account asks for this each time a key is made.
  4. Copy the key. It starts with kvk_ and it is shown only once.
  5. Send your first request:
curl https://kritiverse.com/api/public/v1/images \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer kvk_your_key" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: my-first-image-001" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"prompt": "A cup of masala chai on a brass tray, morning light", "ratio": "1:1"}'
  1. The answer gives you a job id. Read the job until its status is done:
curl https://kritiverse.com/api/public/v1/jobs/JOB_ID \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer kvk_your_key"
  1. Download the picture from the file address of each asset, with the same key.

Keep the key on your server. Never put it in a web page or a phone app, where anyone can read it.

Every option explained

What a key can do

ScopeWhat it allows
images.writeMake images
videos.writeMake videos
voice.writeMake voice overs and list voices
ugc.writeMake UGC ads
captions.writeMake captions from a clip
recreate.writeUse ReCreate
hdr.writeUse HDR Processing
avatar.writeMake avatar videos
influencer.writeMake AI Influencer videos
jobs.readRead jobs
assets.readRead and download files
assets.writeUpload pictures
balance.readRead your credits

Give each key only what it needs. If you use one key per app, you can stop one without touching the others.

Limits on a key

Each key has requests a minute, and a spend cap a day and a month in Credits. You set them when you make the key, and you can change them later. A new key starts with a cap, so a mistake in your code cannot empty your balance.

Stopping a key

Press Revoke in the API tab. The key stops at once. Sign out everywhere does not stop keys, so revoke a key yourself if it may have leaked.

Common problems

I get key_missing

The request has no Authorization header. It must read Bearer and then the key.

I get plan_required

This key's account is not on a plan that has the API. See plans.

I lost my key

A key cannot be shown again. Revoke it and make a new one.
