Ad Film Maker

Make a short product ad film from your product, an optional model and a template, with voice, music and sound.

Pick a product, add a model if you want one, choose a template, and Ad Film Maker plans the shots and makes the finished ad as one MP4.

What it does

You set up the ad on the left: the product, a model, a template, the length and the format. Ad Film Maker writes a storyboard sheet with one picture per shot, all showing the same product pack. You can edit any shot, or tell the Director what to change in plain words. When you are happy, Make video animates every shot, records the voice-over, adds music and sound, and joins it into one video.

When to use it

  • You want a 15, 30 or 45 second ad for a product, for Reels, Shorts, WhatsApp or a website.
  • You want a cinematic look with a template, such as a pour shot or a festival ad, without shooting anything.
  • You want to see and change the shots before you spend credits on the video.

For a creator style talking video, use UGC Ads. For a longer story with your own scenes, use Film Maker.

Step by step

Plan the ad

  1. In the menu, open E-Com Studio, then Ad Film Maker.
  2. On the left, press 1 Product and pick a product from your products, or upload photos.
  3. Press 2 Model if you want a person in the ad. Switch it on and pick a model. With it off, the ad shows the product only, with hands where a person is needed.
  4. Press 3 Template and pick one. The product's category is listed first.
  5. Pick a Length, a Format and, if you want, a Voice-over, Music and an Idea.
  6. Press Generate storyboard sheet. Your shots appear in the centre.

Change the shots

  1. Press a shot on the board. Shot details opens.
  2. Edit Scene detail, Dialogue or Motion. Use Redo frame to draw the picture again, Move earlier or Move later to reorder, or Remove to drop it.
  3. Press Add shot to add one.
  4. Or type to the Director, such as "Make it more premium", and it changes the shots for you.

Make the video

  1. Press Make video. A box lists the parts and the credits for each, with a Total.
  2. Press Start to begin. You can leave the page and come back.
  3. When it is done, the Preview tab plays your ad. Press Export video to download the MP4.

If you change something later, Remake changes appears. It redoes only the parts that changed.

Cuts on the beat (rolling out): when your ad has Music and No voice-over, every cut lands on a beat of the music. A new scene or a slow shot starts on the first beat of a bar, and the ad ends on a strong beat with the music fading out over that last bar. Each shot stays close to its planned length, never under 1.5 seconds. An ad with a voice-over keeps cutting on the words.

Who can use it

Free plan: not included. Pro plan: included.

On the Free plan, lengths stop at 15s and clips are made in the quicker Draft quality.

What it costs

Each picture and each animated shot is charged like the same job in the picture and video tools. Make video shows every part with its credits and a Total before you start, and the button reads Start with the total. Sync and the final video are free.

If a part fails, its credits go back. Drawing the sheet and Redo frame are charged as pictures too.

Tips

  • Start with the 15s length to check the look. Make 30s or 45s after you like it.
  • Use one clear, sharp product photo or a product from your Catalogue. Every shot is built from it.
  • If the pack looks off in a frame, a dot appears on it. Press Redo frame.
  • Change the product, model or format before you generate the sheet, not after.
  • Keep each shot's dialogue short, so it fits the length of the shot.
  • Use Open in Storyboard or Edit in Kriti Cut to fine tune the edit.

Common problems

"Pick a product first." Press 1 Product and pick one before you generate the sheet.

"Generate the storyboard sheet first." Make the sheet, then Make video.

"Some shots have no frame yet. Generate the sheet first." Generate the sheet again so every shot has a picture.

"Your video is still being made. Wait for it to finish." Wait, or come back later.

"Everything is up to date." Nothing changed, so there is nothing to remake.

"Make the video first." Press Make video before you export.

"An ad film needs at least 3 shots." You cannot remove more shots.

"The board is full at 12 shots." Remove a shot before adding another.

"That length is not available on your plan." Pick a shorter length.

"This project changed in another tab. The latest is loaded now." Check your changes and make them again.

"Something went wrong. Try again." Try the same step once more.
