Using Direction Mode
Open Direction Mode, change a picture or clip in plain words, keep every version, and know how it differs from Direction in Create.
Direction Mode lets you change a picture or clip you already have by saying what you want, one version at a time. You can open it from the menu, or from any picture or clip you made.
Direction Mode and Direction in Create
| What | Direction in Create | Direction Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Where | A switch and button in the Create toolbar | Its own tool page |
| When | Before you press Generate | After you have a picture or clip |
| How | Pick camera, light and more, or press Magic Direction, then Apply direction | Say what to change, or use the Director's panel |
| Result | A new creation | A new version of the same scene |
Inside Direction Mode, a Direction button shows or hides the Director's panel.
Open it
- From the menu: open Design Studio, then Direction Mode.
- From a result: open a picture or clip, then press Open Direction Mode.
- From the Library: press the three dots on a tile, then Chat to edit.
Your first visit asks for your month and year of birth. This tool is for people aged 18 and over.
Direct a scene
Here is a change you can try:
Change the background to a Jaipur rooftop at golden hour
- Add a picture or clip to the Stage. Press Upload, or From Assets or Library.
- Say what to change in the box.
- On a wide screen, rest the pointer on the send button to see the cost.
- Press Send. A new version appears on the Stage.
- Keep going. Each new edit starts from the version on the Stage.
What you add takes the place of the + box in the prompt, with its label: Model, Product, Prop, Background or Reference. The small + on the last one adds another.
Every version is saved to your Library. The versions show at the top of the Direct tab. In the box, the small version arrow names the version you are on and shows or hides them there too. To go back, open an older version's options and press Continue from this. Compare with current lets you check two versions against each other.
The Director's panel
The Direct tab holds ready choices. Instructions lists what you asked for and the results.
- Versions: every version of the scene, above Quality.
- Edits: Swap face, Swap outfit, Swap product, Swap background, Expression and Add props.
- Rotate, Reframe, Time of day, Season and VFX: one tap changes.
- Face: press Pick a model to use a saved model.
- Motion: choose a length and press Turn into video.
On a phone, the panel sits below the Stage, and the scenes button opens your Scenes list.
Video changes
Put a clip on the Stage and say what to change, such as "make it slower". A speed, shape or trim change costs 2 credits. Bigger edits cost more, and the cost shows first.
Common problems
The result changed too much. Go back with Continue from this and ask for one clear change.
"No ready model yet." Press Make one, or add a model in Assets.

I was charged for a result I do not like. A made result is final. Failed jobs return their credits.
