Product Shoot

Turn one phone photo of your product into clean, ready to sell product images and short product videos.

This page shows you how to turn one photo of your product into clean pictures for a marketplace, a shop or a reel. You pick the product, and if you want, a person and a look. Product Shoot does the rest.

What it does

Product Shoot makes new pictures and short videos of the product in your photo. The product itself is kept the same: its shape, colour and printed label. What changes is the place, the light, the props and, if you choose one, the person holding it.

You can start from a product you saved in Catalogue, or from any photo in Assets, or from a photo you upload on the spot. Everything you make is saved in your creations on the same page and in your Library.

When to use it

  • You have a phone photo of a product and need a clean main image for Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho.
  • You want the same product in a kitchen, on a shelf or on a table, without a shoot.
  • You want a person holding or wearing the product.
  • You want a short product video for a reel.

For a full set of five checked shots with listing copy, use Catalogue. For a creator talking about your product, use UGC. To put your design on a mug or a box, use Mockup.

Step by step

  1. Open Product Shoot from the menu. You see your earlier creations on top and the panel at the bottom.
  2. Press the upload box in the prompt box and Assets opens, or press Direction, which slides up. Under Product, pick a product from From your catalogue, press Pick from Assets, or press Upload a photo. A product is needed, or Generate stops with "Pick a product first."
  3. If you want a person in the picture, pick one under Model. Leave it empty or switch it off for a product only picture. Cloth and the looks options sit just below it.
  4. If you want a ready made look, pick one under Template. A template is optional.
  5. In the box, type anything special, for example "with fresh mint leaves around it". You can also leave it empty.
  6. Choose the Shape. Leave Quality on Auto, or pick one.
  7. Check the credits shown near Generate, then press Generate.

A saved product also has a tag. Type @ in the box and pick it, for example @nivea_soft. A chip with its picture shows under the words, and the tag counts as the picked product, so you can press Generate without choosing it under Product.

You can leave the page. The picture keeps being made, shows in your creations when ready, and is saved in your Library.

Make a video

  1. Press Video at the top of the panel. The slots change to Product and Start frame.
  2. Add the product. Add a Start frame if you have a picture you want the video to begin from. A product named by its tag needs a Start frame here.
  3. Pick a length in Seconds. The lengths on offer depend on the video model you pick.
  4. Press Generate.

You can also make a video from a finished picture: hover on it and press Turn into video.

Model, Product and Template in Direction

These three sit at the top of Direction. Each section shows what you picked. The small switch on a section turns that part On or Off. When it is off, nothing of it is sent. You will see "Off: no product is sent", "Off: no person in the picture" or "Off: no template".

SectionWhat it holds
ModelThe person. Sources: AI Influencers, Cartoon characters (only if you have some), Ready models, and Pick from Assets or Upload a photo for your own photo. After you pick someone, a Cloth row lets you choose one of their saved looks or describe the outfit
ProductThe product. Sources: From your catalogue and Pick from Assets, where Upload from device brings in a new photo. With more than six catalogue products, a Search box appears. Once picked, Make sheet makes a sheet of this picture from every side, to keep the product the same
TemplateA look that already works. Filter by category, and choose With model or Without model. Picking one may set the shape. A message says so, with Undo

A template with a person needs Model on. If it is off, you see "This template has a model, but Model is off." with two buttons: Turn Model on and Show templates without a model.

Upload slots

The slots sit in the prompt box. Press a slot and Assets opens on its tab, empty or filled. A filled slot shows a small tag for its role.

SlotWhat goes in
Product photoThe product, up to 4 pictures of it. Required. The first one is the main picture
ModelThe person, up to 4 pictures
ReferenceA picture whose look you like, up to 3. Marked Style
Start frameVideo only. The picture the video begins from

Press a slot to open Assets, or drop a picture on it. Press a filled slot to replace what is in it: pick another product or model and it takes the place in one step, with nothing to remove first. Close Assets without a pick and the slot stays as it was. The small x outside the corner of a slot removes it, and Undo brings it back.

Dropping a picture on a slot, or Upload in Direction while the slot has room, adds it next to the ones already there. The first picture is the main one, so in Assets tick the main picture first. If you put in a different product, the page starts fresh for it and says "New product: the prompt and picks made for the old one were cleared", with Undo for a few seconds.

A small note may show under a filled Reference slot. It says "Reading", then "Reference read, 9 details" (the number varies), or "Not checked, reference not read".

The prompt box

Type what you want. Press AI Polish and Kritiverse reads your pictures and words and writes a better description. Undo puts your own words back.

A locked product also greys out Quick: "Quick cannot keep a locked product or person". Kriti Talk is for speaking videos. Where it is greyed out you see "Speaking videos: use the Avatar tab for now".

The Direction window

Direction opens a window with numbered sections. Press a card to open it. Every group starts on Auto.

At the bottom, Reset Direction clears the groups and Done closes the window.

Who can use it

Free plan: not included. Pro plan: included.

What it costs

An image starts from 25 credits at the Standard quality. The price changes with the quality you pick and the number of pictures. The number near Generate is the exact cost for what you have set.

QualityGood forCost
QuickQuick drafts from text10 credits
StandardYour product, face or cast, kept the same25 credits
RefinedText, posters and complex scenes25 credits
UltraThe sharpest detail, for hero shots and start frames90 credits

Videos cost by the 8 second block: Kriti Motion 110 credits, Draft 50 credits, Kriti Cinema 350 credits.

Every finished picture is final and paid. If a job fails and nothing usable is made, your credits come back: you see "Did not work, credits returned". If only some pictures work, you are charged only for those: "Some results did not work. You were charged only for the ones that did." To make the same picture again, open it and press Regenerate. It costs the same as the first time, and the price shows on the button.

Tips

  • Take the photo in daylight, label facing the camera, with the product filling most of the frame.
  • Add a second or third angle of the product to the Product photo slot. More angles help keep the shape and label right.
  • Pick a product from Catalogue when you can. It comes with its saved details.
  • For a marketplace main image, leave Model off and use a plain background.
  • Use Reference for a look you like, and keep your words short.
  • Turn a picture into a video with Turn into video instead of starting again.
  • To change one thing in a finished picture, open it and use Direct this scene, for example "make it warmer". You get a new version and the old one is kept.

Common problems

A message about your product or your words after you press Generate. The box says what stopped the picture, and no credits are used. Fix that one thing and press Generate again. "Pick a product first." Add a product in the Product card or the Product photo slot. The button beside the message opens it. "Pick a product or a template, or write a few words." Nothing was set. Add one of the three. "Not enough credits for this." Check the number near Generate, then add credits. "Use a JPG, PNG or WebP image." Convert the file and try again. "That image is too big. Keep it under 25 MB." Use a smaller file. "That image is too small or too large. Use 16 to 8,000 pixels a side." Resize the photo. "That template is not available any more. Pick another." Open Template and choose a different one. "This goes against our content rules, so it cannot be made. No credits were used." Change your words or pictures. "Taking a short break, your credits are safe." Wait a few minutes and try again. "This is taking longer than usual. It keeps going on our side; check back in a few minutes." Leave the page. The result lands in your creations. "That is a lot at once. Wait a minute, then try again." You pressed Generate too often. Wait a minute.
