Script

Write a timed video script in Hindi, English or Hinglish, with scored hooks, titles and a visual for every line.

This page shows you how to write a full video script, pick a hook, and send it on to a storyboard or a voice-over.

What it does

Script turns an idea into a script with a time and a visual for every line. You choose the kind of video, the length, the language and the tone. It writes the script, scores five hooks, and checks the pacing against your length.

Next to the script you get a voice-over view, a teleprompter, and titles, a description, tags and thumbnail ideas. Every line can be edited by hand.

When to use it

  • You have an idea for a YouTube video, a Short or Reel, an ad, a short film, a podcast or a course lesson.
  • You want a hook that is scored, not guessed.
  • You already have a script and want it checked (Script Doctor).
  • You want to plan a whole video from idea to package: Content Calendar keeps the whole video in one place.

For a long story with many shots and characters, Film Maker is the better tool.

Step by step

  1. Open Script. Under What are you making?, pick a format.
  2. Type your idea in Topic or idea. Two or three lines are enough. Add the real names and facts that must stay true.
  3. Pick a Length, a Language and a Tone. Add who it is for under Who is it for?.
  4. Press Write script. The button shows the cost before you press it.
  5. Look at the openings in Hook Lab. Press one to put it at the start of the first block.
  6. Read the Retention meter. Fix any flagged line with Rewrite, Shorter or Funnier, or type over the words yourself.
  7. Open Voice-over or Titles and SEO for the rest. Then use Next to send the script on.

Check a script you already have

  1. Press Have a script? Check it with Script Doctor.
  2. Paste your script under Your script.
  3. Press Check my script. You get scores for Hook, Retention, Clarity, Pacing and Call to action, and the exact lines to fix. Nothing is rewritten.

Only hooks

Open Hook Lab on its own at /hook-generator and press Write 5 hooks. The best three show first, each scored for clarity, curiosity, specificity, emotion and relevance. Pick one to write the whole script around it. That writes a full script, so it costs the same as Write script.

Who can use it

Free plan: not included. Pro plan: included.

Without an account, and on the Free and Starter plans, you can write 3 free full scripts a day. Pro and above can write up to 20 full scripts a day.

What it costs

A full script costs 70 credits. A script with Full storyboard as the output costs 70 credits. The button shows the exact cost before you press it.

Hooks, a rewrite of one block, titles and SEO, Script Doctor, AI Polish and a language switch are free, with a large daily fair use limit. The 20 a day limit is shared with Film Maker and AI Chat, and it resets at midnight, India time.

If the writer fails or returns nothing, your credits come back.

Tips

  • Give the real names, places and facts. The writer keeps them in the script.
  • Pick your hook first, then edit. A new hook replaces the opening words of the first block only.
  • Aim for Fits the time. Cut or rewrite flagged lines until it does.
  • Use Must include for offers and prices, and Banned words for words your brand never says.
  • Run Script Doctor on a script written elsewhere before you shoot it.

Common problems

"Type your topic or idea first." Write at least three characters in Topic or idea. "Upgrade to keep writing, or come back tomorrow." You used your 3 free scripts for the day. They reset at midnight. "the most for one day. It resets at midnight." You wrote 20 full scripts today, the daily limit. Come back after midnight, India time. "Log in to write more scripts today. It is free." Log in to carry on. Your idea is kept on the page. "The writer is taking a short break. Nothing was charged. Try again in a minute." Wait a minute and press Write script again. "The writer took too long this time. Nothing was charged. Try again." Try again. A shorter length also helps. "This idea breaks our content rules, so we cannot write it." Change the idea and try again. "Too many requests. Wait a few seconds and try again." Slow down for a few seconds. "This script changed in another tab. Reload to see the latest draft." Reload the page. Your last saved draft is there. "You have used today's limit for this tool. It resets at midnight." You used the daily fair use limit on free actions. Try again tomorrow. "Paste at least a few sentences to check." Script Doctor needs more text.
